Diabetes Pilot for Pocket PC: Download Instructions
Installing Diabetes Pilot is easy and works much like installing
any other software. There are just a few steps:

that Diabetes Pilot should not in any way take the place of your

By downloading or using Diabetes Pilot, you are indicating that
you agree to the terms of the software license agreement. If you
do not agree with the license agreement, you may not download or
use the program.
Step Two: Set up your device
If you haven't done so already, install the software that came
with your handheld (the "ActiveSync" software that comes
with your handheld is required to install the program).
Diabetes Pilot for Pocket PC works on devices with Microsoft's
Pocket PC 2002, Pocket PC 2003, and Windows Mobile operating
system. This includes most handhelds made my Dell, HP, Compaq,
and many other manufacturers.
If you have a Pocket PC 2003 or Windows Mobile device, continue
with step 3 below. (If you're unsure about what type of device
you have, click here for instructions
on how to find out).
If you have an older Pocket PC 2002 device, you'll need to install
an update on your device. Download and install the ".NET Compact
Framework" from Microsoft by clicking
here and following the instructions shown. Then, continue
with the steps below. Again, this is only necessary if you have
an older Pocket PC 2002 device.
Step Three: Download and Install the program on
your Pocket PC
Install Diabetes Pilot on your device by
doing the following:
- Connect your Pocket PC to your desktop computer. Make sure
that the ActiveSync link to your device is connected.
- Download the program by clicking on the link below. When
you do this, you may be prompted "open" or "save" the
file. Choose "open".

- Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
The installer will download the software and transfer it to
your handheld.
- To launch Diabetes Pilot on your handheld, tap on it's icon.
The icon is located under the "Start" menu (the small
"flag" icon in the upper left corner of your device screen).
On some devices, the program will appear in the start menu.
On others, you will need to choose "Programs" from
the start menu to find Diabetes Pilot.
Step Four (Optional): Diabetes Pilot Desktop
Diabetes Pilot for Pocket PC works with the latest version of
our Diabetes Pilot Desktop software (sold separately).
If you already have Diabetes Pilot Desktop on your computer,
check the version:
- Start Diabetes Pilot Desktop on your desktop PC
- Click on the "Help" menu, then "About"
- Look at the version number. If it is less than 4.0, you will
need to get an updated version of the software before you
can use it with the Pocket PC software. Click
