Finding the Version of Your Pocket PC Device
Note: These instructions apply to Pocket PC (Windows Mobile)
devices. If you have a PalmOS handheld
(made by Palm, Handspring, Sony,
and others), these instructions don't apply to your device. Ignore
them. Use our Diabetes Pilot for Palm software with your device.
- On your device, go to the Settings window by choosing
"Settings" from the main menu in the upper left corner of the
screen.
- Choose the System tab. Then, tap on the "About" icon.
- Look at the copyright date and the version
number shown near the top of the "About" screen:
- If the copyright in the About screen is 2000 or
earlier, your device is not a Pocket PC - Diabetes Pilot for Pocket
PC will not work on it.
- If the Version shown is less than 4.0,
you have a Pocket PC 2002 device. Diabetes Pilot will work on it,
but you'll need to install the ".NET Compact Framework"
update from
Microsoft. Click
here to get the update from Microsoft's website.
- If the version number is 4.0 or greater, but less
than 5.0, you have a Pocket PC 2003 device. Diabetes
Pilot will work on your device.
- If the version is 5.0 or greater
you have a Windows Mobile 5 device. Diabetes
Pilot will work on your device.
