Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available throughout our website.

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on our website or in our apps. On some pages, you can order products, make requests, and register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages may include items such as your name, address, email address, phone number, credit/debit card information.

A Note to Citizens of the European Union

Although we follow the general principles and sprit of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our website and products are not intended for citizens of the EU.  Thus, we are not bound by the GDPR.

The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use return email addresses and other contact information to answer the inquiries we receive from you and to contact you if we have questions about your order.  If you've purchased from us or signed up for our mailing list or newsletter, we may also use your email address to send infrequent notices about our products, such as when an update to a product you've purchased is available, when we release a new product, or when we have a special promotion.  If you'd prefer to not receive these notices, use the "unsubscribe" link that's provided in the emails.  Your contact information is not used for any other purpose and will not be shared with outside parties.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and our products and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Similarly, we may collect information about app performance, usage, or errors.   We do this so that we can improve our products and focus our efforts on what's most important to our customers.  This is done anonymously and does not include personal identifying information or your app data (glucose records, for example).  For example, our apps may report to us how many total people use a particular app feature or what kind of devices our customers are using, but we do not track this in a way that identifies who is doing what or how a certain individual uses the app.   Some of our apps use the "Flurry" service to collect this information.  If you'd like to opt out of this, you can do that on their website at http://www.flurry.com/user-opt-out.html.

If we are engaged in one-on-one correpondence with you (to troublshoot an issue, for example), we may ask for information from you to support those efforts, such as your records from the app. That information may be personal in nature. It is entirely up to you to decide whether you would like to provide the information that we request.  If you do, we use it only for troubleshooting purposes and do not share it outside of our company.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, we will comply with any requests for information from a court, police, or other government authorities that are legally binding upon us or, in our sole judgement, matters of significant importance.  We do not share information with authorities on a regular basis.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to specifically attract anyone under 13.

How You Can Access, Correct, or Delete Your Information

You can correct factual errors or have us delete your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that explains what you'd like.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
